Olli ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by thethink.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Olli mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect the information provided through our authentication provider, Clerk. This may include:
- Email address
- Name
- Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In identifiers
1.2 Baby Profiles
To provide personalized sleep coaching, we collect information about your child, including:
- Baby's name (or nickname)
- Date of birth
- Sleep preferences and schedule settings
1.3 Sleep Session Data
We collect data related to your baby's sleep patterns and daily routines, including:
- Nap times and durations
- Night sleep events (wakings, feedings)
- Daily sleep plans and goals
- Notes and observations you enter
1.4 Device & Notification Data
To send you timely reminders and updates, we collect Apple Push Notification service (APNs) device tokens. These tokens are used solely for delivering push notifications and are not used for tracking or advertising.
1.5 Co-Parenting Data
If you use our co-parenting features to share access with a partner or caregiver, we process the data necessary to link accounts and share baby profiles and sleep data between authorized users.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and personalize the sleep coaching experience
- Generate daily sleep plans and recommendations
- Send push notifications (reminders, schedule alerts)
- Enable co-parenting data sharing between linked accounts
- Improve and maintain the App
- Respond to support requests
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely in a PostgreSQL database hosted on DigitalOcean infrastructure. We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (TLS) and access controls, to protect your information. Authentication is managed by Clerk, which maintains its own security standards and certifications.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: We use third-party services to operate the App (e.g., Clerk for authentication, DigitalOcean for hosting, APNs for notifications). These providers access only the data necessary to perform their functions.
- Co-parents/caregivers: When you explicitly invite another user to share access to a baby profile, relevant sleep data is shared with that user.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public.
5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Olli is designed for use by parents and caregivers — not by children directly. The App collects information about children (such as names and sleep data) as entered by their parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
By using the App and entering information about your child, you represent that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and consent to the collection and use of that information as described in this policy. If you believe information about a child has been submitted without proper parental consent, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.
6. Your Rights & Account Deletion
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
To delete your account, use the account deletion option within the App settings, or contact us at the email below. Upon deletion, we will permanently remove your account data, baby profiles, and sleep session records from our systems within 30 days.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other appropriate means. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
